Blackwood Projects was engaged to replace the Decking to the Southern Weir located at Streets Beach in South Bank including replacement of timber joists and decking. The works were completed by our in-house carpentry team and delivered an outstanding result, rejuvenating the boardwalks for their next 20 years of public life.
The works were undertaken within the heart of South Bank adjacent to Streets Beach which is extremely popular tourist destination with a large volume of people constantly moving around the site throughout the works.
The vicinity of the boardwalk required the transportation of all materials through the Parklands which required close coordination with the Park operator and a high level of planning and execution to ensure the safety of the public. The project was successfully completed to a high standard of finish.
